Larry Schlesinger lands Macon Telegraph endorsement in city-wide Macon City Council Race
Larry Schlesinger, Democratic candidate for Macon’s city-wide Ward III, Post I city council seat was endorsed by the Macon Telegraph today, the campaign announced.
“I’m honored and excited about the endorsement,” Larry said. “This is an extremely important city-wide election on Tuesday, and this seat will play a large role in the revitalization of all of Macon: bringing in more good jobs, turning around our city’s financial problems, and keeping our neighborhoods safe for our families.”
According to the Telegraph: “[Larry’s] experience in other cities, his passion for economic and social justice and his sense of the interconnection of the city's problems suggest he would be an effective council member with fresh ideas.”
“I’m a bridge builder running not to make politics a career, but to make a difference,” Larry said. “Running for this city-wide seat is an opportunity to continue my long history of community improvement in Macon and other cities like Columbus and Montgomery. I have a long history of working for economic and social justice. It’s time for a change on the Macon City Council. It’s time for fresh ideas. We need to return to a focus on taking care of Macon families first and foremost. I’ll fight to do exactly that.”
